it's GO time

It's time.  We're ready.  We miss so many friends that we just can't wait to see.  We're getting calls from Haiti, three or four every day, trying to get new students registered and trying to get classes finalized, and it'll be so much easier to be there to help.  We're ready to stay one place for EVERY day, ready to say, "Girls, please put that where it goes" (and it has a place!), ready to be HOME.

I was confident when we moved to Haiti that it would become a place where we would have joy and peace...His joy.  His peace.

But I'm not sure I ever thought it really would become home...a place where your friends truly melded into family, a place where we could pour Him out and be poured into, to...a place where we would actually WANT to be.

I am so thankful for the community we have there...both our neighbors and students and our friends...Junior, Fanfan, Maxi, Abel, Kerline, Noel, Shayla, Naomi, Gertha, Misheline, Claudin, Granny.  There are so many more to share the Gospel with, and so many who continue to share the Gospel with us.

There truly is no better place than the center of where God has you, and while I never thought we'd be heading in to year 8...it is still where He is calling us, today.  And we are very happy to go, stepping out on Him.

The things we have missed and haven't, things we will miss and won't are the same as last year...check them out.

You may remember our heading home last year to have been one of the most challenging, patience building times of our lives.  Reading back through that beautiful nightmare this morning ( "A Life-Giving Slap of Reality" and "Wish You Were Here, Seriously.") I can't help but feel a little nervous about what the next few days as we try to get there and settle back in.

So we're praying, and I know you are to.  Thank you.

Please pray for our travels...we travel Stateside all day Sunday and back into Haiti Monday morning. We're so grateful to have help and friendship today to finish packing and weighing and packing again.

Please pray for our transition back home...readjusting to the heat, the culture, power/water/internet issues, rats, language, food, mosquitos...it's a lot.  We cherish your prayers these next days as we help the girls readjust to being home and help each other!

Please pray for a big new year!...we have a team coming in a few weeks, school staring in a few weeks, lots of visiting professors and new classes...It's a big new year!  We need your prayers.

We are so thankful for you and excited to be stepping out, each day, on Him...with you!
