worth celebrating

I have a bunch of things to share, but tonight I'm heading to bed feeling very rich.

I can miss my mom, and I do. I can wish church wasn't four hours-four kids long, can wish there was an Outback Steakhouse for lunch instead of visitors for dinner, can wish the house was cleaner than it is, can wish all kinds of things.

But the reality is, BECAUSE of the mom I had and the count-your-blessings attitude she deeply engrained, because of the beautiful, priceless ones who make the mess, because of the precious visitors who grace our table and give the privilege to serve, because of the radiant worship services and the students who make us proud with their genuine Jesus-love, because today is actually a celebration of His faithfulness, not mine (thank goodness!)...my home, my table, my life, my heart is very full.

His faithfulness, that's worth celebrating, and makes the messes, the chores, the hours sweet.
