What truly felt like an insurmountable challenge, like a permanently fixed door, has been quite miraculously opened, and I wish you could have been here last week when Matt brought the guys up and announced in chapel how God has provided.
"If I obey Jesus Christ," Chambers says, "The redemption of God will flow through me to the lives of others, because behind the deed of obedience is the reality of the Almighty God."
I l-o-v-e that as they've been obedient, the reality of the Almighty God, the one for whom funds are no obstacle, has shown through.
Thank you to the 20 of you who are sending them, who are sending missionaries from Haiti to refugees from countries who have yet to permit a flicker of the Gospel.
Another inspiring encouragement is that while we were funding for them abroad, they were funding for the trip here, visiting church after church, explaining their call and the work ahead, and taking up love offerings.
Most churches gave $20-$30 dollars, a generous tithe in Haiti at any account, but one church where they spoke gave over $300 dollars, and it was with such excitement that they were able to be a part of seeing God do the impossible, not on their behalf, but on HIS behalf.
Some of the money has been transferred to their accounts for the sake of resubmitting for their transport visas (having proof of funds is vital) and the team in Sicily is working again to get these visas approved. It feels like another stubborn door right now, but there is more than a mustard seed of faith here at Emmaus.
THANK YOU for your prayers and partnership, and right now, pending their visas (keep on praying with us!), the plan is for them to go the second week in December, with classes finishing the 7th!
What a beautiful story of faith and obedience.
