the turn-over

Another round of Master's classes finished, a great last lunch and two fantastic visiting professors on their way.  Spending lots of time with once-strangers and then getting to ask them lots about their lives and pasts always just is such a joy...and such a TESTIMONY of Christ in peoples lives...so inspiring to see God's pursuit of them and how His plans truly are GOOD, even through all the hard hard times.  Thankful for Dr. Joe and Abson!

Meanwhile, Dodo arrived to join Bubba and to spend a few days with us, and right on her birthday, so we're getting to have a hand in learning how to do some gluten-egg-dairy-onion-garlic-free cooking!
This wasn't easy for a birthday cake, but finally found a flourless chocolate cake recipe that was pretty good!
Dodo and Bubba have been in our lives a good long time, and Lily and Sofie love having grandparents around to read to and chat with and steal their special food.
Julie's been doing gymnastics with the kiddos once a week, and today they finally finished round one and got their first badge:

Grandparents indeed!

Meanwhile, Bill, Julie, Sam and Joel also left today, heading to Florida for a week with Julie's parents and younger sister, renting a house and enjoying good family and food and away time.

Tomorrow we're worshipping out with our Difour church-plant family, staff and students, where we haven't been in a while...looking forward to it.

Also very looking forward to Aunt Sharon coming this week, though it means Matt's heading out again, this time to preach a revival with Charles Lake in Indianapolis and for a series of meetings with OMS in Greenwood.  The girls have the week off school now that testing is done, and we are all beyond ready for some good Aunt Sharon time!
