prayers and thanks

It's been an a-lot-on-our-minds-and-hearts week, and I'm just going to leave that there.  We'd really be grateful for your prayers, both for several major medical issues with some very close ones, a cherished student dealing with some intense spiritual/physical battles (that had Matt and fifty others praying in the men's dorm at 3:30 am this morning), and a bit too much OVER on the load.

Going straight from an intense week with CETA to an intense week with both Master's courses and all our undergrad courses happening, with EVERY student we have on campus at the same time, with national testing for both girls, all morning, every day, with lots of cooking and dishes and attending and teaching and carpooling and entertaining and day-to-day...

We are tired...not the spring chickens we used to be.

Thank you for your prayers!  If God can be and do all He has done, EVEN if we only looked at this week and not all of time, EVEN if we only looked at this village and not all the world, EVEN if we only looked at today, EVEN if we only looked at our little lives, today...then He can give strength and good courage, all that we need, today.

Side-note...To those of you who sacrificially and lovingly and faithfully support our family here in Haiti.

You may think it's only $10 or $20 or $50 dollars a month.  You may think it's not a big deal.  But on days like today, weeks like this week, moments like these moments, it IS, and I don't tell you that enough.  Your support isn't really about your money.  It's about YOUR SUPPORT.  And when we feel weary or discouraged or alone or overwhelmed or weak, we look at our list of you, we pray through your names, our concrete reminder that we are working TOGETHER for His kingdom and that you support us, and it blesses our souls.

I like to think we would stand and work and strive with His help alone...and I pray we would.  But I'm so thankful we don't have to.

Many of you have persevered with us...been faithful in the past and continue to be TODAY, and it strengthens us to continue to be, too.  Thank you!
