it's official

After learning that new patients could only go to the doctor on Mondays, and after learning absolutely everything we could ever need to know about Tet-A-NOUS (Tetnus) and SIDA (AIDS), we were finally able to get me weighed, blood pressured, and to hear the baby's heartbeat Monday morning.  It took so long to find it (with hand sanitizer for the gel) that I was starting to get nervous, right when Matt (the only male in 100 women that day) said, "do NOT start to get nervous!  It is FINE."  And then there it was, strong and fast, and it finally feels official.

I am not just getting fat and vomiting for no reason :)
Very thankful for the opportunity, no matter how creative, to hear baby's heart.
Meanwhile, Sofie continues to enjoy the simple things in life...fancy pants, art, and adding endless lines to her "E's".
I love her.

Our VP's are wrapping up their courses this week, our residential staff is all getting geared up to be back in the classroom, including Emily getting in the classroom for her first time!  We also have the Heckman's fun family friend here right now doing some promotional video work for the Seminary, and helping someone else tell the stories of Emmaus through a whole new outlet (video is just not my thing) has been FUN.

We've had such a good time with this set of VP's.  (Do I say that every time?)  So thankful for the ways that God put Charlie, Jerry and Pam in our lives at such a time as this, and for the ways that they have each been able to uniquely encourage, minister to, and HELP us right where we are.  It's one thing to teach with people.  It's another thing to live with them.  Chances of seeing each other looking crazy or feeling grouchy go way up.  But chances of truly ministering to each other where we're at go way up, too.  Praising the Lord.

We also have some fun things, big things, coming up we are dying to share, but have a few more hoops first...Coming soon!

Thank you for your continued prayers!
