at a loss

Yesterday kind of had me at a loss.

All in one day, the loss of a friends dear pregnancy, the loss of more of a loved one's life's work, the loss of a valued partnership.

Loss is discouraging.  Loss is personal.
Loss makes it hard to rally courage...to remember what is true, still. To not feel defeated and tired.

All I know to do is to keep working hard.  To keep doing our very best.  To keep seeking His voice and to keep listening to His.  Alone.  Battling out our own voice and the great value we place on others' voices.

To trust.

Em reminded me this morning that He does all things well.

He does.

And something He has done so well was make this past two weeks of intensive courses BLOOM.

I have never heard such positive feedback and heart-transforming testimonies as I have from this session.  So thankful for the way that God has spoken through our Visiting Professors and translators and for all that so many are searching, studying, learning, taking out, preaching on Sunday and taking to heart from His Word.

Thank you for all your precious prayers for our students!

I count all things to be loss
in view of the surpassing value of knowing Jesus Christ my Lord
forgetting what lies behind and ahead
I press on that I might lay ahold of Jesus.

  1. Praying for you tonight Stacey… Even when things are hard you always point back to the faithfulness of the Lord…thank you for that encouragement and example.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
