going home far from home.

Dear girl did it.  Can't believe another school year is done,
and can't believe she's on to first grade and the "big girl" uniforms.

And can't believe what an orphan-annie her little sister always is...wearing her newest-obsession: size 0 old baby shoes :)
Can't believe a whole 'nother year has gone by, that graduation has come and gone.  That He has done it.  That our week after to get ready to leave is drawing to a close.
Switching cultures and living on the road for 2 months is not easy.
But it's especially hard when you love home.
We celebrated the end of the year as an EBS family yesterday at the rainy beach.
Which is still a really good day to be at the beach :)
Being out and driving through town and exploring made me so thankful for this island we call home and the people we call brothers and sister.

I'm so thankful for all of the people we get to work with, for all of the ministry we get to call "work".
I'm so thankful for the family He has brought around us, including our missionary team, our EBS team, and our global team...you.
I'm so thankful that He continues to make Himself known in the small places, the small ways,
and that He has grown this life in Haiti into one that is full of joy and FAITH.
We love to serve Him and to trust in Him in Haiti.

I'm thankful that all the many places we will be these next weeks are missionfields, too.  So thankful to be heading towards missionary families and churches like yours.

And I'm thankful that tomorrow, He's not going anywhere, even as we go home far from home.
