I’m behind on updates again!
July 4th gave us the down day we needed to do laundry, get packed, and get ready for the East Coast part of our trip this summer! Thursday evening we went to the community parade, which both girls thought was beyond exciting, and for their first fireworks show!
“This is SO AWESOME!” Lily kept shouting, and told everyone afterwards that it was “the very best thing ever.”
Sofie just really liked the slushie.
We got to Lebanon, PA around 7 pm, and were blessed to have some time out of the car, in a beautiful place AND with our friends Dean and Mary Ann! (I didn't get a picture! Darn.)
Their yard is just as beautiful and peaceful as they come, and time with Dean and Mary Ann is something Matt and I always look forward to. They remind us that no matter where we are, and no matter what kind of business is our Father’s business, right where we are is our mission field.
We even got to quickly re-visit the place where we got married over 8 years ago, right near their house!
This morning we got on the road again, and drove the last
few hours to Middletown, Delware where Matt’s family lives! The girls have been asking to see cousin Nico
for days now, and Matt’s already working on getting his Jersey accent back. Wudder,
anyone?
Tonight and tomorrow we’ll be sharing at Cornerstone UMC in Bear, Delaware! Hope to see you there!
Looks like the girls had a blast!! Were the fireworks a hit with them?
