After a quick stop in Ohio, we'll head to Gatlinburg tomorrow morning. My sister got in last night and Uncle Adam will get in tonight.
Sofie's doctor's appointment yesterday went really well. She's grown a whopping 3 inches and is now 9 pounds from her 6 pound 12 ounce birth weight, a major contributor to why the doctor was not too concerned about how often Sof is still spitting up and soaking whoever is holding her. The virus in her intestines seems to have moved on out, all her stuffiness and congestion seems to be gone, and praise the Lord, the doctor gave us the green light to return to Haiti next week.
Our time in the States is suddenly almost over! We've started to pack and starting to realize how long it will be before we see family, or are in the States, again. Unless something changes, we won't be traveling out of Haiti again until next June.
We're soaking it up, which basically means eating, spending all the time we can with friends and family, and talking extra to the Lord about these transitional days ahead. Please be praying for us as we get ready and please be praying for this year ahead of us...that He would lead us, provide for us, protect us, and be preparing our hearts for each day!
Where did you two learn to speak French before leaving for your mission?
ReplyDeleteThank God for Sofie's good report, that is a true answer to prayer.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation time - I can not believe it it's time to "go home". Prayers will be following you!
Love you all... Lori
Paving the way with prayer,
ReplyDeleteMay all things draw you closer to His side like a moth to a bug zapper..... only without the zapping!!!!
Love ya,
Charlie
