airport runs!

Oh, we had such a nice (but too fast) weekend with my sis...so fun (especially after five days of single parenting!) to have her with us, to talk, to catch up, to play, to have good aunt and good sister time, and especially for Lily to get the morning with her for brunch, nails, and shopping to celebrate her 13th!  It was priceless and had us all choked up when she headed out today.

Matt got home tonight full of GOOD rich stories, exhausted, and with puffy eyes and a rash all over his face, neck and shoulders from a pillow or sheets or detergent or who knows what from the last few days...poor guy :(. So good to have him home and to hear of all the ways the Lord worked, met, and networked this past seven days!  He has some great testimonies of just being truth-breathing and truth-standing and PRESENT in DC among colleagues this week and how vital that is...along with a renewed burden to be PRAYING for our country.

When he's awake and I can get the facts straight, I'll share some of my favorite parts of his trip.

It reminded me, most, how important it is to be God's people--who look and act and talk and live like God's people--exactly where we are, boldly, every day.  There are people every single place we all are who have no idea of light or truth or hope or freedom, and yet God's people are IN these places! Missionaries, we gotta be missionaries with all the many gracious spiritual gifts He has given us...and perhaps louder and bolder than ever before.

Softening the Aunt Lisa leaving blow is Aunt Sharon beautifully coming in tomorrow.  She'll spend the week with us, some all together, and a few days holding down the fort while I'm gone Wednesday-Friday.  About six months ago now I joined the One Mission Society (OMS, same mission we've been with and served with since 2005) USA board, and this week is my first of every-six-months meetings at HQ in Indy.   You know mama don't get away easy, but Aunt Sharon makes it something everyone is looking forward to (though I'd be looking forward to it a lot more if it were some 12 hours SOUTH instead of 12 hours North in January.)

The March for Life, wrapping up the week...
