NOLA

Hop onto Emmaus University's Facebook page and read the testimony of Johnsly...I loved meeting him in October and his story is inspiring.

Being around faithful, abandoned people inspires faithfulness and abandonment in us.

Very spontaneously, we are going to New Orleans tomorrow. It's less than three hours away, we have never been, Matt has a few days off work and has a hard time not working when we're home, we're dying to eat some Creole food and hope the food and culture is a taste of home, and one of Matt's co-worker-friends and her gracious husband are willing to lead the two-day tour.

Today was spent doing a lot of laundry and packing and baking and gift delivering, and tomorrow morning we head down.

Nora wants to see mermaids and Sofie and Lily want beignets, and Mom wants it to be at least 40 degrees warmer there.

I'm betting at least one of those things is going to happen!
