blessed

It's been a lovely, busy few days, blessed by dad safely home, a precious long awaited baby, four lively happy kiddos, eager and big-hearted students, precious and diverse community clearly brought together by Christ.  Here's some of that blessed, in pictures.

The unicorn crew :)
Lily caught mommy doing what she spends the majority of life doing
...cooking and washing dishes! :)

Sweet Esther and Jodenel's little gift, Christherlie.
Does it get any better than a precious new miracle baby, born into a loving and godly family, to be raised up for His honor and pleasure and to make Him known? I could have held her all day.

Jodenel and Esther are staying with Fanfan and Majorie right now, so we also got to spend some precious time with Nathanaille and Timote.
Lily Sue, all these years in Haitian school, is a major street foodie, and is continually stopping the car wherever we go to buy food Matt and I at times don't even recognize.

Lily has been BEGGING me to make a cake for dessert, from scratch, from start to finish, icing it and all. Today I said YES (IF it included all the dishes from start to finish, too!) and she did it all (and loved it.)
She was so excited to share it with everyone at dinner, and as she did, mama was blessed.  Blessed to see my not-so-little girl pour out her labor of love, and to see two students from Gonaives, Haiti, one Doctor of Eduction from Indiana, a builder from Canada, a botanist professor from England, and a young teacher from Delaware, and a gaggle of siblings, all loving on her back.
This table, so often sacred.
