babies

Some of our dear mama/papa friends need some extra prayers...

Esther and Jodenel have been living next door to us since his accident, and Esther is due to deliver really any day. She's still working, as is Jodenel, but they are both understandably nervous for this first baby, coming their first year of marriage, and at a very challenging time in Haiti, too.  Would you be praying for them with us as we all wait to meet baby girl and for courage and strength for Esther?

Duboise and his wife Crystal are also in their first year of marriage, and Duboise is a third year student.  After laboring for days this past week, and be transferred to another hospital when she couldn't deliver, and then forced to walk part of the way through barricades and road-blocks, she finally underwent an emergency c-section. They delivered a healthy little girl, and everyone is recovering while Duboise is going back and forth.  We praise the Lord for their health and safety...pray for this new little family!

Finally, we have been praying heartily with Walnique and his wife Rose for several years now as they have lost baby after baby around her 5th/6th month with an incompetent cervix. First, Walnique was our student for four years, then he did his master's with us at Emmaus, and now he works here part-time as a translator and is in full-time ministry in his church and their school. We have been praying with them mightily through this most recent pregnancy, and last week she delivered at 7 months a strong, tiny little boy.  Rose is fine, and Walnique Junior is doing ok, in an incubator and going through the process of premie baby steps...PLEASE be praying with us for this precious new family and for strength and growth for ti-Walnique!

This is a dark day to bring new life into the world....but what precious new life it is...what precious new life He gives. Thank you for your prayers!!
