one day after another

This is such a fun, busy and exciting time!

While I've always got my focus on today and am content in the moment, God has gifted Matt with this awesome vision and hunger to live in today, but be thinking about tomorrow.  As I'm always celebrating in where Emmaus is today, Matt's always working towards where Emmaus needs to be, how we can be doing what we do BETTER.  He's never content, always working toward doing what we do--BETTER--for His glory.

Today is a win for both of us.

TODAY is an exciting day because for YEARS Matt has been leading by example and pushing our staff to always be growing, spiritually and educationally, and getting everyone involved in continued education. And this next few weeks, three of our staff are completing their doctorates, and seven of our staff are completing their master's degrees.

THIS IS A BIG DEAL!  It's been huge leaps of faith to support all of this continued education, and HUGE amounts of work and faith for our staff to be working full-time at Emmaus, serving in their churches, ministering to their families, AND working on Master's and Doctor's Degrees.

How faithful He has been, in each day, AND in the future.

Yesterday we celebrated a bit of what He's done as the Emmaus body, and next week we'll be celebrating with a thousand of Emmaus's family, both our 18 undergrad students, our 10 staff members and our additional 30 master's students, already in full-time ministry and service in areas of education, business, government and the church throughout Haiti.

That's exciting.  Yesterday, today, tomorrow, people are coming to Emmaus and changing. People are leaving Emmaus changed.  Haiti is changing, because He lives and is at work, because of your faithful help and prayers, because many are working hard, one day after another.

I'm thankful for this season of celebrating the faithful one-day-after-another.
