wearing all the hats

So far the weekend's been made up of hats and mulberries, baking and friends.

Sofie has been on a hat-making kick, which has been fun for everyone :)  Ben's happiest of all to wear his hats...there's never been a brother who loves his big sis more than Ben and Sofie, who totes him on her bony hip everywhere she goes.

Early this morning we were all out picking berries, roller blading, biking and walking...if the kids can't sleep past 6:30, we might as well enjoy it :)
We're lovin' on this girl, counting down her last few days

It was English muffin Saturday, too, with almost 100 English muffins for the next month of early morning school breakfasts.
On our way to town to visit Jodenel and his dear wife Esther, Matt picked up the extra produce we were needing...I underestimated this VP week on food!

Then we spent the afternoon at Jo and Esther's, enjoying good time with them and enjoying seeing their home!! She made an awesome lunch and it was fun to peak into their new life together and to catch up on work and family.  We just love these two.  Fanfan and Majorie (who is actually Jodenel's sister) live 2 minutes away, so then we all headed to their place for a bit to see baby Tim and Nathanaelle, who was sleeping.
Baby Tim was 2.5 weeks old at Jo and Esther's wedding right after Christmas, and so I've been sending Ben's clothes he's been growing out of home with Fanfan...until now :)  We couldn't believe how big he's gotten!  Oh man...they just don't stop growing, all these kiddos.
Tomorrow we are off to church at Guenson's, and then will spend the afternoon and evening with our three visiting professors, Dr. Gail, Dr. Bryan and Dr. Ray, before heading into a big week!!

God's been giving us joy and a peace this season that's been unexpected and so full of His grace. Thank you for your prayers and love and support.
