quality time

It's been a good week of quality time...the students and the team sharing a worship night...
Our visiting professors and team helping students with English conversation...
The super heros..still saving the day!
Phil and Maxi, tiling, tiling, tiling

The girls, loving some time with the youngest Lain, finally taking her turn coming with her parents to teach!...
ALL of us totally enjoying the perfect winter weather...

Ben, brushing up on his English conversation skills with Bony...
The newest Master's cohort has been in Education Research Methods all week...

Whew!

It's been good.  I'm so thankful to have all our students back and for the joy it is to catch up with them.  It breaks my heart that two of our students have lost their mothers since returning from break, one to sickness and one in a motorcycle accident, and one of our alumni friends who helps us translate lost their second baby on December 31st. I'm so thankful for the community that Emmaus is for each other.

I'm also so thankful for the community it is for us, and for dear friends who give us truth and love and love on our children and encouragement, and sometimes even make us dinner.  (send me an >I Heart Shelley< t-shirt and I'll WEAR it!)

Matt's getting ready to head to Washington DC Tuesday for a Council for Christian Colleges and Universities President's Meeting, we're working overtime to get final road-blocks between Rujerry and Jean William and Togo cleared and to get them a few more shots (anyone know of where you can get yellow fever vaccinations in Northern Haiti?, cause....), and we're praising the Lord that we've been able to find fuel this week!

Thank you for all your love and prayers!
