I'm not gonna lie...it is HARD around Christmas to be so far from family and so many of the traditions we hold so dear.

Matt and I have found over the years that the best way to handle it is to start new traditions, and to reach out as much as we can.  There is something to God's continual commands and reminders to be thankful and have a grateful heart.  It's not just to bless Him, who deserves all our thanks and praise. It's also because great joy is to be found in counting our blessings instead of the ways we are lacking.

One of our blessings is that there are a lot of other people struggling with the same things this Christmas (probably where you are, too!) and so today we all spent the day together counting our blessings and it was a blast!
The sound of pictures like this make all the prep and clean up worth it!
White Elephant gift exchange was hilarious, tons of games, tons of kids and tons of cookies.
We also had an awesome service, with the kids singing and Caleb and Hannah leading worship and Storly preaching.
