sabbath

What a sabbath.  We had such a sweet meaningful relationship day with so many dear ones.
We started out with Matt preaching at Grace Ministries church, and we had a dear friend from high school, dear friends from college and a dear friend from Haiti all join us!
Molly and I have been friends since we were in middle school, and Nora and I had precious time with she and sweet Payton yesterday and again at church today!
We also had a whole evening with our good friend Scott from college, and his awesome wife and precious baby boys, and then got to worship with them this morning, too.  They came all the way from Lexington, and that catch up time was so precious.

We also had our friend Cheryl, part of my Haiti family from before marriage, come in for the morning service, and I was so blessed by time with her!!

We caught lovely naps this afternoon and then spent the evening with dear lifelong friends, eating bbq and ice cream cake, catching up on the past year...the Millers are such a prayer force for our family, and encouragers through and through.  We all had such a good time, and left feeling lifted up, as we always do.
We are so thankful for the precious time we've had with family this summer.  Even Sofie, even if you can't tell in photos :)  I love watching our loved ones love on our girls, love our girls learning from Christ in their lives, and love how beautiful friends have been at encouraging us on in our walks with Christ...encouraging us to faith, encouraging us to trust, encouraging us to carry on.

I'm so thankful for that...praising the Lord for the powerful way He holds us up through His children, for His glory.
