met by a Risen Savior

It struck me this morning at 6 am, as we headed over the dark and strangely empty dirt roads that we had the sweet privilege this morning to kick the day off with the Gospel, the beautiful Gospel preached all across the island today, in all the churches we've ever showed you and a thousand more.   Praying for our staff and students and co-laborers as we went, Matt had the opportunity this morning to preach in his first language, to a large gathering of English speakers from all over, and to watch the sun come up together, Christ already risen.
A great opportunity.
Matt's mama sent the girls gorgeous new shoes and dresses and they were actually thrilled to get out of bed at 5 am to put them on :) We obviously have girls!   Thank you so much Barb and Keith!

Yesterday we also got to celebrate Easter and Nick's birthday with a bunch of friends, and all had such a blast hiding and searching for eggs, playing with their chicks (Nick and Nikki are chicken farmers) and their new puppy, Maha.

Matt's getting his nap and I'm preparing for Easter lunch with the Heckman's, and missing the Edlers as they keep pursuing the adoption of Jacob in Canada...

Thinking through Easter again this morning as Matt preached, it truly is such an amazing paradox, his life and death and being, and I'm so thankful to be met by a Risen Savior today...and to have the opportunity with you to share Him, each and every.
