This girl LOVED her Citadel adventure yesterday! She did NOT want left in the back and she wanted to hike with her friends, Simeon and Leme. She informed me that she wished I had been there to translate for the guide, because she didn't understand a word of his English, and wished he'd just spoken in Creole.
Lily really might as well be a Heckman, because she L-O-V-E-S working with, adventuring with and spending every moment with our teams!
Not even an hour after getting back from THAT huge day that they turned around and headed to Sofie's school for an afternoon of playing games and loving on some very special kiddos.
Sofie was thrilled to be back with her friends after Christmas break, especially her bestie, Naelle (blue dress). I love how easy and natural my girls, or maybe Haiti, or ?... make loving and living with the orphan and the widow. Because they're not. They're just friends.
Two little girls and four Heckmans and 7 college kids and 1 still-tired pregnant mama slept good last night.
