answered little prayers

so, quick answer to prayer moment...

You're a mom (lots of you).  You know how it is with your kids.  You give them to God so often it's ridiculous.  You fight with worry.  You fight your ever-thinking mind.  You go crazy trying to make the VERY best decisions regarding them weighing in EVERY single element added with tons of prayer and counsel and help and bothering your husband with the same topic 100 times until he finally says, "Ummmm.  My answer is the same it was the last 99 times.  Seriously??"

School?  Really big Mommy deal.

For the last three years as we've sent Lily off to the school down the road where most of the kids who go to school go, it has been with MANY prayers, weeks of talk, tons of counsel, weighing the options, thoughts and doubts and more prayers.
So Monday, when she came home with her first report card from first grade, I wasn't just bursting with pride.  I am bursting with answered prayer.

Not only is she 6th in her class of 50, but Haitian Creole?  her highest grade.  I laughed out loud.

He's so faithful to care for our little ones, to care for our concerns.  To care for our worries, and to HELP.  How Faithful He has been to help Lily, as we have stepped out on faith.  I took the picture to remind myself how He can do what we can't.  And does.

Meanwhile, Matt is taking advantage of her mastered Creole by teaching her Hebrew.  Which of course, she loves.

surrounded by nerds.

thankful.
