friends into family

Well, folks.
Things about to get crazy.

This upcoming five months is being labeled the season of: "Always room for one more!"

We have so many people coming and going starting TODAY from now until May you wouldn't believe it.  We've got visiting professors and their friends.  We've got work teams.  We've got a new missionary couple.  We've got conferences.  We've got church teams.

We've got men and women moving back into the dorm this weekend, even adding a  few new students to the new semester!

Emily finally said tonight about some help coming, "Uh...so where are they going to SLEEP, exactly?" and I think I just blinked dumbly at her.

The time is here...we're ready for friends old and new, more partnerships, more of His body, and our favorite friend is home!

Matt slid into the last flight from Port-au-Prince tonight, getting back at 5 pm instead of 8 am tomorrow morning!  Praise the Lord!
Girlies were SO HAPPY to see him and wouldn't stop rubbing his arms and saying "I missed you SO MUCH."
Brent and Jacob joined us this morning, Jerry, Larry and Pam tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Maman's fifth was born Tuesday (One of Noel's six sisters), adding another little miracle to the world, and the girls and I were blessed to snuggle her and to play with her brothers and sisters yesterday.

Was Luddie born in a mud hut in a fifth world country to an already big and incredibly poor family?
Yep.
And already, she is insanely loved, doted over, and beautifully cared for.  Sitting with her aunties and granny and brothers and sisters all marveling about her ten little fingers and toes, I truly felt nothing but blessed for this new little one.  Praise the Lord!

All of this means that there is a LOT of cooking, cleaning, preparing, translating, traveling and planning ahead.  A lot of training and grading, teaching, relationship building, growing and learning.

A lot of sharing--a lot of community--a lot of bringing friends into family.

Basically, a lot of things Haiti is already really good at.
Thankful to be a part.
