I was going to title this: three - continual line of felines.
But it's not really funny how fast we go through them. You weren't the only one upset about all of us losing Puff-Puff. Micheline very sweetly brought us this new cat Tuesday.
She is a cutie-pattotey. And wishes we were all dead.
We've never met such a hissy-growly-nasty-pretty Haitian kitten. We're working on her though...time will tell. IF she comes nose to nose with Boone, she'll claw his eyes out.
I have a strict no-Christmas-until-after-Thanksgiving policy in our house, but since our Thanksgiving was on the 19th, today was Christmas decorating! The girls always start the day around 5:30. So by 7:30, we were pretty much done. And drenched in sweat. Welcome to Christmas decorating in Haiti :)
We tried to tell Sofie that if you have to use your leg to hold something, you are PROBABLY carrying too much. But. This girl has never been much for listening.
We had a really good time, filled with lots of good (but very different) memories of decorating for Christmas when we were kids.
This continues to be the girls FAVORITE thing at Christmas...their nativity scene Uncle Don and Aunt Brenda got them on Lily's first Christmas. They LOVE playing out The Story, along with so many others, and I always laugh that our nativity scene comes with palm trees. Perfect.
Jesus coming to be the Light of the World just never meant as much as it does since moving to Haiti. This gorgeous island corners so many dark places, these beautiful people, so many dark hearts and lives.
I'm excited all over again this Christmas for this special season as another reminder to dwell on, live, breathe, share, sing, and radiate His Light!
