sniff.

Despite all my forms of denial, this morning we are facing it...if it looks like, feels like and sounds like the flu, it is probably the flu :(

It is Monday nonetheless, so we are trying to push through with sniffling and Advil...Lily is on the couch, and Matt--so far--is holding it all together as the spared one!

Friday night we had a super-fun community bonfire night, which always takes a lot of planning if you want hot-dogs and marshmallows, and trust me...we did.  For the kids, these nights are magical, and ending the night playing ultimate-frisbee in the dark and in the rain was perfect.  Also, maybe where the flu came from.  Just sayin'.

Saturday night we had Noel's parents for supper, which also ended up including four of her nieces and nephews and Elida :)  Noel eats almost every meal at our house (there is a major food issue in her home with 13 people living there), but it was her parent's first time, and they were SO nervous :)  We all had a really good time, and the kids especially had a blast, but by the time that party was over, the house was TRASHED...at which point we were glad Elida had joined last minute :)

My favorite submitted giving spreadsheet (from This Post has no Answers) so far comes from Craig as an alternate tax form for the IRS:
   1. How much do you make------------->_________________
   2. Send it in.

I think that might actually be the spreadsheet we are currently using, exchanging "send it in" for "give it away:  :)

And since we're already working on random this morning, I do need to apologize about my bad attitude with the cat, who is still somehow going by toddler-deemed "Puff-Puff".  My dad thought "Salt 'n Pepper" would be better considering his coloring and almost guaranteed finale, but...  Anyway, we haven't had one SIGN of a rat since we got Puff, AND Puff is turning out to be the best behaved cat we've ever had...who also puts up with endless smothering from the girls without scratching, biting or complaining.  So, Puff, I apologize for dreading you.

The promised coming internet it still promised as coming...at which point I will have an overload of photos to share with you, but for now...here's a few that have been waiting!

When Sofie fell in the river...
...and the second she got the wet dress off :)
the obsession with the cat continues
lookin' smart in grandpa's glasses
