Oh, blog, I miss you!

One day I will have access to the blog again on a daily basis and will be able to share pictures again...look out :)

It was a great weekend.  You know what we did on Saturday?

Nothing.

I mean, yes, we cooked and cleaned, did laundry, painted Barbie pictures, made bread, made a "Thanksgiving" tree, played playdough, played dolls, played in the sprinkler, read a dozen books and even watched a little Cinderella.  But we also ALL took a nap, didn't go anywhere, Matt let me sleep in a bit while he cut the grass with the girls, we didn't have anyone officially over...rested.

It was exactly what we needed.

Add in some amoxicillin, and I am finally starting to feel a bit better :)

Sunday, we joined some friends and headed to Claudin's church, our current director of student life, graduate and friend.  Matt didn't have to preach, and being able to sit as a family was nice!  Afterwards we went to the pool for a few hours for the girlies, and then came home and spent the rest of the day - again - resting and spending time as a family.

It wasn't until last night as Matt and I mused about how FANTASTIC the weekend had been and how it had been exactly what we needed that I realized how rare 2 days with no formal events, no scheduled visitors, and no meetings or preaching is.  So incredibly rare that I can't even remember the last time.  Might have been this summer in Ohio, the one weekend we did not travel and speak.  In June.

At any rate, it was good, and we all found ourselves much more cheery this morning starting a new week!  Lily is off to school in pigtails for sport day, Sofie is dragging Gertha about the yard, Matt is teaching first year, and I am catching up on grading and finances from my muddled head of last week.

So, all you friends telling us to REST, we did, and Thank You!  Our newest internet provider had until today to get things up and going before giving us a refund (yeah, right :)...so...  Maybe this time next week, we'll be back online!

maybe...

Happy Monday!
