the zoo...she's 2!

A year ago today we took Sofie to the zoo for her first birthday...

and today took her for her second!  So fun!!

They, of course, loved it.

The petting zoo, of course, was just a big cage of goats, like the girls play with every day :)  Sofie was a pro, trying to sling them around like she does her goats!

 ...the train, which Sofie then talked about all day...

and Lily SUPER DUPER excited to get her face painted, and then spent the rest of the day marveling over it.

Sofie, saying, "I want my face painted, too!"

Seeing these two take care of and love each other is the BEST.

This poor grizzly could NOT get that raspberry into his mouth...it was hilarious.

And then the two of them got in a big wrestling match right in front of us....really cool.

an awesome trained pet show with raccoons, pigs, dogs, cats, mice, owls, kangaroos, skunks...

super Aunt (Mommy can't ride the merry-go-round without getting sick :)

Lily going crazy with joy on the huge bug playground, playing full speed with tons of kids.

 This Mandril monkey was mesmerized with Sofie, or at least with her yellow bag...the two of them stared at each other for several minutes!

And once we got to the car at 7 pm, we were ALL beat.  What a GREAT day with family and more of God's stunning creation!!
