It has been a busy few days! Aunt Lisa flew in yesterday evening, and man, is it good to see her. It's been TOO long, and having her here is like having a sister/room mate/aunt/best friend/cake baker/nanny/fashion consultant/navigator/comedian. Very sweet.
We took her to our family spot in downtown Columbus, and the girls are more than smitten! Mommy's definitely been replaced by Aunt Sheesha!
This is what Lily looks like every time we run to the store :) She is so overwhelmed by shopping that she collects a little bit of everything and we spend the second half putting half the cart back!
Our good friends took us horseback riding yesterday, and gifted Lily a little pair of cowboy boots...which she has YET to take off and is stomping everywhere in!
Erika and Bobby followed Lily's every command, and now she's set on being a "horse girl." She informed us she does NOT want to be a cowgirl, because she does NOT want to ride cows!
I thought Sof would be scared, but she was thrilled as long as Lydia was with her!
Meanwhile, Grandpa's been teaching Lily the art of tree-climbing, a MAJOR no-no in Haiti. By her final tree I had to go in...I was too nervous!
We are so blessed to have such a sacrificial and caring Grandpa and a fun-loving, giving Aunt!
Tomorrow, they are taking us to the Columbus Zoo for Sofie's birthday! Can't wait to have a great day with my dad and sister and girls...something I wait for all year!
Great pictures... you've done that before haven't you! We were all looking at this one last night and Becca was thrilled to see the dress (Ann too). Be well... The Grissom Gang
