Dodo and Bubba washed at least 124,000 dirty dishes, read a dozen children's books, baby-sat, cooked, cleaned up, took an empty room from filthy to bleached and ready for visitors, visited four schools and an orphanage, listened, shared, laughed. Loved.
They may have felt like indentured servants! But I'm pretty sure they also felt like family.
We love these two and man, are just so grateful that God quite divinely has fixed them in our lives.
Sofie's got her "Dodo" and "Bubba" down, and Lily was just devastated tonight when she realized Dodo and Bubba weren't here for night-kisses and won't be around till summer.
In the same instant, Aunt Sharon has arrived along with Sam's parents, and Lily is happy to have her friend here and has saved a special half-stick of gum for Aunt Sharon to take back to Uncle Martin in Kansas. Meanwhile, Phil and Butch are making conversations rich and keeping the girls happy to have visitors.
The turnover of friends and family is just endless. We are blessed.
I hope the girls don't grow up to have abandonment issues! Just kidding...
But seriously.
How ownderful you have so many people who love you and you family...So great to hear :)
