Your men are beautiful. And they stink to high heaven. My whole house smells like diesel fuel, motor oil and sweat.
They are three of the most thoughtful men I believe I've met...playing patiently with the kids, watching Tarzan and yodeling like tree-dwellers, washing dishes, noticing, thanking, giving....humble.
Though they can cut through metal and re-arrange machines, one of them was too much of a baby to sleep next to the screens the rats have chewed through, and instead stuffed washcloths through the holes for peace of mind. I'll let you guess who.
They have been unable to really rest, frustrated by the generator, and finally figured it out today and came home like champions for lunch.
One of them was doing dangerous stuff on the dirt bike. I'll let you guess who that was, too.
And while they all have an abundance of nasty nasty laundry, it is soiled with work that was not theirs to do, that they are not being reimbursed for, that you yourselves are doing as well by supporting them to be here, tackling the kiddos and daily drama alone.
It's been our great joy to eat and laugh with them, to be reminded of home, to become friends, to be served by them and to serve them.
THANK YOU for your beautiful, stinky men!
love,
Stacey
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Stacey!
ReplyDeleteFor hosting them and dealing with all their stinky, dirty laundry.
I really appreciate all the care you are giving our guys
And I think I know who was doing the dangerous tricks on the dirt bike. :-)
Thank you Stacey! I echo Martie when I say thanks for taking such good care of our guys!
ReplyDeleteI got a pretty excited text message today with a lot of smiley faces about that generator.I can only imagine how happy they are about that!!
And tell Jeremiah not to get within 5 feet of the dirt bike. I know how those boys like to one-up each other. =)
The railing looks great!
