Life never stops being a whirlwhind, does it! It’s been a busy few days…let me catch
you up!
First, the girls and I went to catch up with Micheline. It was great to see her, and so good to
snuggle Woudens, who has changed so much in just 7 weeks of life! Seeing Micheline made me miss her all
the more…her joyful countenance and her love for the Lord and for others is so
missed in our home! It was sweet
time…
Meanwhile, down Micheline and now Noel, Gertha is watching
the girls for me four days a week, but on Friday’s we’re on our own. With Lily being out of school today due
to the National Holiday “Day of the Dead”, she ended up in class with me, and
Sofie hung with Grannie, squealing, riding the food cart, and scattering dried
beans. It went way better than I
had expected…
(Lily greeting me after work each day)
After four months of coconuts, it is BEAUTIFUL to have these precious apples from New Jersey!!! I couldn't stand to waste them on just eating them, so today we all had apple pie, and I confess, I even ate every peel :)
This may not look like much, but our road got worked on a few days ago, and is better than it's been for at least a year!
I should have a picture of all the guys working in the generator house, but they've been working intently and I've been leaving them alone. They're still struggling to figure out what the problem is...but...they're persevering.
Don't worry...they weren't actually going anywhere :) Caught Matt and the girls playing "moto" this afternoon. There are still less kids on this bike than the most of the bikes at the school drop off :)
And, Mark and Sarah (yes, that Sarah) and their three kiddos moved in next door today, though the kids were way more interested in their popscicles than smiling :) That makes 8 kids for the yard, and happy to be together they are!
Mark and Sarah aren't with OMS or EBS, but are with Hoops for Haiti and were needing a place to live and a community to live in. We're happy to have them!! Though it's keeping with the stereotype that foreigners in Sanccanville have girls and all have the same last name. (Ayars, Aberle and Aubrey...with an accent...yeah, it's all the same.)
Tomorrow we all have lots of catch up work for the morning and then hope to take our visitors to town...I think I've got the boys convinced for the Coup-a-David climb Sunday...can't wait!
