As that the EBS Website is still impossible to update (our internet issues are to be resolved in the next 2-3 weeks :( , I'm going to try to keep frequent updates here for all of you who were unable to come to the dedication.
The Coopers, the Wallaces, the Browns, the Mishlers, S. Hoffman, and L.Wilder have all arrived, and we will soon be joined by J. Poff, J. Ryvers, A. Durkeson, E. Samson, P. Simpson, K, Eller and M. Graham (please excuse any spelling errors). Dr. Cooper, Emmaus Biblical Seminary's most recent director, played a huge role in the decision to build this new campus, and our other international guests have all played large roles in the design, building, funding, supporting, sending of teams and praying for this project. We are excited to have these dear friends of EBS here, and to have the Coopers staying with us!
Today a service of Thanksgiving will take place at the previous EBS campus, followed by a soccer match between current and previous students. It will be fantastic to see our students again following this Christmas break!
Emmaus Biblical Seminary is also taking this huge transition as an opportunity to embrace a new logo, which holds true to the original heart and flame. "Emmaus" comes from the passage in Luke 24 where two men were heading to Emmaus, were approached by the risen Jesus, walked with Him and felt their "hearts burning within" them as He explained to them the Truth. You can see the previous EBS symbol in the below photo:
And here the new logo in French and in English:
May our hearts continue to burn within us when we walk with Him, see Him, hear His voice, recognize His Truth...
It is with tears of joy I read this blog today. So glad Dr. Cooper can be there and so thankful to have met such a wonderful man. Will be praying for you all. May God bless your work and the people of Haiti.
