Thus Far

(Pictured: The Citadel, located near Cap-Haitian Haiti...a historic fortress that aided in Haiti holding one of the only victorious slave revolts in the history of the world in 1804.)
We are at such a place in our journey where we are daily overwhelmed with His faithfulness. The past years have held so much struggle and doubt and change, but He has continued to bless us...most with His saving grace, His patience, His unconditional love. 1 Samuel 7:12 found him feeling similarly: "Samuel took a stone and...named it Ebenezer, saying, "Thus far the Lord helped us."
Thus far the Lord HAS helped us, and we are grateful for such a personal God.

The cry of our hearts:

Here I raise my Ebenezer;
Here by Thy great help I’ve come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.

O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.
