Matt's been in Jersey the last few days teaching at Sharptown UMC, a church family that means a whole lot to both of us! The kids and I hated not joining him this summer...I knew a 19 hour road trip at 37 weeks pregnant with four kids would be too much so bowed out from the start, but the Lord knew we'd have extras, too, keeping us in the state for now.
So mama's holding down the fort, driving some to school and pushing hard to finish homeschool with others! We've been working for nine months to finish well before baby comes and we are going to make it! No small feat wrapping up final chapters, last worksheets, massive books, final readers and final projects this week!
I'm going to be so thankful for some emptier days, and the kids are too...I'm more tired and more old and more pregnant than I've ever been :).
O Chambers, my Bible and coffee has been helping big time these long and still-sweet days, as have little thoughtfulnesses of many...it takes a village, it takes a village!
Dad's radiation has been pushed off a few days and he is set to begin Wednesday.
Spoke to our Haiti team for an hour today, and there is a lot going on at Emmaus despite such troubling times in Haiti. So thankful that God's hand is entirely unhindered by our circumstances.
He's at work, He's at work.
