Disney

That was a fun and full week!

The kids had SUCH a blast, and we lived it all up...driving the 12 hours, walking some 15,000 steps each day, riding everything we could ride, watching shows every time someone needed a break.

Taking our double stroller saved us....staying off property (about nine miles away in a $100/night airbnb) saved us financially, and three parks/three days was the perfect amount for the Ayars.  Day 4 would have killed us, and only two days would have felt short for the 24 hour total car time.

The ONLY downside was that Sofie ate some bad chicken at Animal Kingdom the first night, and was up vomitting all night and weak and exhausted the whole next day...so pretty much missed Hollywood Studios (again, thankful for that double stroller!)

Expect for that, poor girl, it was really the perfect trip with lots of good good family time. We have a  TRULY fearless three year old who rode EVERY fast and scary ride he could without flinching (including the terrifying dinosaur ride that the rest of us had our eyes closed on).

Most, we recommend going with a family who knows Disney WELL...the Christie's knew every ride, every park, every show, and we would have been totally overwhelmed without their guidance, advice and help! We skipped what they said to skip, rode what they said to ride and sent the big girls with Cody when we could ride no more :) Most, they were so gracious and patient and fun...it had been a while since they'd been to Disney with littles. So grateful for these friends in our lives!

We got back Saturday afternoon, had a fun surprise bday party for Lady Jane, had a big day at church yesterday hosting our monthly "Open Door" meet and great and lunch for people who aren't connected yet, and a yummy dinner with Lady Jane and Mr. Henry last night.

Today we are BACK to school, full force.  You can pray for me, oh man.  Matt's back at work, full force, too, and heads to DC tomorrow through Sunday for these classes they have bene invited to facilitate and also as WBS participates in the March for Life on Friday!

We also finally announced this on Facebook, something else you can pray with us about, loved ones.

Four years ago today we announced we were pregnant for the very last time, so, today seems fitting to share that we are expecting THE LAST of the Ayars Heirs in about 20 weeks (Ben also believes that he is expecting, hence, the belly shot).
When I was really struggling with turning 30, the Lord re-focused my heart on praise with the realization that my 30th fell on Thanksgiving. This time, as I’ve been struggling with this plot twist and then the additional unexpected news of my dad’s cancer diagnosis, the due date is, of course, June 19th…Father’s Day.
I don’t know what God’s got in store, but, apparently it’s for MORE…yes, more diapers, more carseats, more non-quiet and more excitement than it often feels we can handle…but also more dependency on Him, which I have found to never be a bad thing. So, here we go ❤️
