If a year ago we were still looking for ways to get plugged in, we have gone and gotten over-plugged. Like, the power strip in Haitian church with 35 cell phone chargers over plugged.
I remember when families would come visit in Haiti and talk about their crazy lives and all the driving kids everywhere and nutso days, and we would listen sympathetically and then walk away thinking, Well, then DON'T live that way, sillies!
Sigh, yes. It is I.
THIS girl is running up a storm and just loves it, and her dad, right behind her. With three practices a week (no where near home) and a meet every week, I'm suddenly realizing why parents DO encourage their kiddos to get driver's licenses.
We are homeschooling it hard and fun every day from 8-1 (I'm not saying we've got it all figured out, but man, homeschooling year seven has just finally ironed out a lot of the kinks), Ben's in preschool three mornings a week and loving it (and we're getting way more done on his "red bird" days :), and with Latin classes two afternoons a week, piano one morning, gymnastics for Sofie and Nora one day a week, small group one night and Matt's class another, it's all good and busy...mixed with old and new friends for dinner a few nights a week, kids from the community almost every afternoon, and young friends from church popping in at all times, needing a prayer or a friend or a cookie!
Tomorrow is board meetings for WBS, and the girls' first day back at the Friday Program, the "Friday only" homeschoolers day where their classes do lots of art, music, Bible, science, group work, fun!
Love these dear ones and all the community the Lord has given us at each busy point...
