Glammy and Pop-Pop

Matt's parents have been with us all weekend and it's been such a sweet time!  We got them to the pool, had a service project in inner city Jackson, had lunch with Sarah Douglas and her new wonderful guy, walked the neighborhood, played a lot on the slip-n-slide with the turtle, all the girls got their hair trimmed, and mostly have just had some good down time.

I'm so thankful to have family with us!

Meanwhile, we are gearing up for school...Teacher Mama has alllmooost gotten everything ready, though with another family of six staying with us this weekend and a slew of 'back to school' events next week, I'm just not on the ball enough to have started today with other schools in Mississippi. Having a seventh, fifth and first grader this year is just a little intimidating!

Emmaus is gearing up to have new student orientation at the end of this week and to start on the 23rd.  I wish (as always) that we could be so many places at once.  It is killing the girls to finally see Sam and Joel and Jacob back home in Haiti and NOT be there....we're working on it.

The Lord has really been using my Monday's as a refocus prayer day, and I'm just so honored to be praying for a couple specific people these Mondays.  Life is really broken right now for so many, but man.  I just trust Him. Talking to Him, intentionally, all day, just reminds me of that.
