Oh, what a good weekend...just what we needed and I'm so thankful.
Friday night we had our good friends from down the road over to celebrate Shelley's birthday. We love these people...Steve, Shelley, Jasmine, Jaden and Janae are the best, always lifting us up and friending so well. I’m particularly grateful for Shelley’s wise counsel, faithful friendship and hilarious spirit in my life!!
Saturday we played outside, read lots of books, and celebrated another precious life, Avalyn turning 2! I didn't get a picture of all the kiddos, but we all love time with the Stolberg’s...the girls asking fifty times throughout the day when their friends were coming.
Then this morning we were off early to Granny's church...she's been anxious to introduce the church to Ben, and we've been anxious to meet her new grandson, just born six days ago! Matt didn't know he was preaching, but he had the worship time to prepare and preached a great message from Leviticus, and Granny got to show Ben off :)
Then, we walked a bit and got to meet this precious new man, PrinceLou.
He is adorable, born through an emergency C-section.
So thankful for these two little men...though Ben is suddenly looking MASSIVE since PrinceLou.
Granny making happy speeches :)
So thankful for a precious morning of praising the Lord for these answered prayers, and for family. Matt's standing above next to Granny's son, Bedwell, the happy new papa. So thankful for God's sweet gifts and precious people to share them with!
Here's Granny holding Lily at about the same age!!
...and then Lily happily holding HER grandson!
Love sharing life with His children, and love sharing those joys with OUR children.
Thankful for a sweet and more restful weekend and ready for week two of school, and the girl's last week of summer vacation before they head back to school, too!
