growing

Today little man turned 1 week old, which is simply insane, and also had his passport pictures done, making him the fourth Ayars kiddo to have their passport photos done week one of life.  He's adorable, and such a good baby.  He gets lots of sister love, it's hot as can be, and yet he's a happy little man.  We're in love.

Matt's been back to work full-time, the girls have been at school every morning getting ready for testing, Ben's been meeting friends and family, Sharon's been helping me catch Lori up in the office a bit (she is an accountant and taking over the finances...an answer to prayer of these several years!), and we're just feeling grateful for these slower days before things get crazy, and for the massive help and peace-bringer that Sharon is in our lives, making "slower days" possible.
Wednesday was Ben's first excursion, just down the road to prayer meeting.  Uncle Dave was the first OMSer to hold Nora the day we brought her home to Haiti, and now baby Ben got some Aunt Marilyn time before even turning a week old.  So thankful for these two in our lives, for the support and encouragement they've been (Marilyn delivered her dear daughter in Haiti many years ago) and for the wisdom and experience they bring as lives poured out unto the Lord.

This weekend holds more catch up time with friends...Nick and Nikki and checking out their new house tonight, a friend from Kansas here on an internship and Kate and Storly Michel tomorrow, and a last day with Paul and Dr. Jen Sunday before they head to Port-au-Prince on Monday.

We're thankful for your little texts and emails...I know we're far from many of you, but it's a gift to know we're not out of sight, out of mind.  Thank you, and for your continued prayers as we get ready for a big year and settle into the new reality of being the Six Ayars in Haiti!
