day to day

The girls have been working hard on all their Haitian school work to get ready for testing, working with their teachers in the mornings and working with Aunt Sharon in the afternoons...hopefully next week they'll be done!  I love how seriously their teachers, and Lily and Sofie, have been taking all this.
Ben got some quality time with Uncle Dave tonight...even though the team is awfully small right now, we're still having Bible study and prayer on Wednesday afternoons.
I always love driving home at sunset because everyone's bringing their animals in for the day.

We also spent an awesome time at our dear friends house down the road Tuesday night...they made us dinner AND let us help break in the pool...the girls were on cloud nine, and Ben was pretty stretched out and happy, too!
The boys are enjoying their naps these days!
Life is about to change pretty drastically...Uncle Martin comes tomorrow and we are very looking forward to a good weekend with he, a few friends coming with him, and Aunt Sharon, and then they all return to Kansas.  I don't want to talk about that.
Then August 1st life picks way up...Staff goes from summer hours to full-time hours, new students start coming for interviews and applications, a new couple joining EBS this year comes, we have staff family day...student orientation and retreats, a Master's class...life is about to get busier and I am just enjoying these days (which already are feeling quite full) one at a time, and leaving future days for the Lord of the future.

I'm so thankful to be feeling good, thankful Ben is feeling well and growing like a weed, and thankful for the sweet moments of reading books with the girls or taking walks with Nora, praying with our fellow missionaries or drinking coffee with Aunt Sharon that are SO precious.

"The statements of Jesus--the ones that once seemed wonderfully simple and unstartling--explode when the circumstances of our lives cause them to do so.
We must decide whether or not we will accept the tremendous spiritual upheaval that will be produced in our circumstances if we obey His words." --O. Chambers
