There have been some nice, quiet moments and some crazy ones, but they have all been sweet.  We knew our time in Kansas was going to be precious, and it has been.
Lily and Sofie spent some time in Aunt Sharon's hope chest, reading old love letters...
We have FINALLY met Uncle Martin and Aunt Sharon's actual grandson, whom the girls adore
Nora has been quite sick, and while that hasn't been precious per say, we had a good PA friend at the house almost immediately and all the medications she needed in our hands by noon, and that will never cease to amaze me - good, quality, quick, available MEDICAL care.  She's on the up and up, thankfully before we start traveling again Thursday.
Lily and Sofie have had a precious time with Anna
We all had a blast and ice cream with the Voos crew and some of the Aberles next door, who have become fast friends with the girls
The new pool just opened Monday, and the girls are pretty sure they want to stay in Sabetha this summer
We've gotten some good time with Rachel, with friends, with gracious grandparents loving on the girls and letting them drive their golf carts...

With past and present board members, with lots of pastors in this area, with lots of people, once visitors to Haiti, or people we met when in Kansas on previous trips, now dear friends.

It's been a fast, rich time and it's hard to believe that 1/5 of our trip is already over...tomorrow we head back to Miami for the 2nd part, this time with Matt's parents and brother, s-i-l, niece and nephew.

The very day we moved to Haiti, on the very flight, back in 2005 on this plane, unbeknownst to us, were Uncle Martin and Charlie (the senior pastor at NorthRidge Church).  We had no idea those two men who helped us move in that day to our tiny home would be the start of such a precious, faithful, sacrificial, loving, uplifting community...but the Lord knew and absolutely sent them, and I'm so thankful.
