This crud has not been easy to get over! Goodness...I'm still dragging and coughing, and my crew (and it sounds like a lot of you) can relate!
Can I ask for your prayers?
You know Haiti is always in our hearts and lives, and it is far-past time to get home for a bit and come alongside our brothers and sisters. We've been praying and waiting (sometimes patiently and sometimes not) for an opening, both in the political chaos in Haiti and other kinds of smaller chaos in our family.
Now that a window is finally emerging, details have been infuriatingly difficult to confirm with flights to Haiti becoming increasingly rare and adventurous.
After a long talk with our brother Leme last night, we are moving forward as far as it depends on us...but the Lord need to open some doors for us if this is His Good. Emmaus University and I are equally anxious for us to get there and get a current and powerful perspective on what God is doing there! I KNOW they have stories to tell...and you know I love telling His stories.
We'd love your prayers, always for Haiti, and also for His open and closed doors for the Ayars to serve there this spring!
Thank you friends.
Meanwhile, Lily is in Atlanta for a theater competition, and I am thankful for a sunny Saturday...the weeks are SO sweetly full, and Sunday all the moreso, we all love a good Saturday Sabbath. I am very rich in precious kids. I miss my dad on these normal days...days to call for no reason and to catch up on life. I miss his. I'm so thankful we'll live it eternally together and free from suffering SOON.
His mercies are new every morning, whether we see them or not. Look for them again today with me!
A hard post from last time we were in Haiti...https://mshaiti.blogspot.com/2022/03/hard-lines.html
Thank you for the reminder to pray for dear Haiti.
