Lily-Girl

My Lily-Girl is somehow 12, and what a rich 12 years it has been.
This age has its' roller coasters. But my dad told me once that my job in the roller coaster years is to be off the ride, and just love them steady and grounded and big and smooth and strong and faithful. This sweet, quick, deep-loving girl makes it a privilege to hold her ropes now and always.
Can't help but wish she would slow down.

She wanted a banana split bar instead of a cake this year
So so thankful Dad and Cindy made the long drive to be with us for her big day!
"Teaching" Lady Jane to play Uno...until she rapidly destroyed everyone.
Catching the egg :). I love the moments when she forgets to be cool and pre-teen :)

Painting today at Fat Cat Art Cafe, her favorite part of the day
