Our dear friends two miles away have been 745 miles away the past 4 months, and that's been awful. Our families are used to going through a lot, but we usually have each other...and not usually "a lot" like these months. As Shelley's prepares and packs to head home to Haiti next month, we're taking our last chance to meet in the middle this weekend and remove all the many hats we both wear and just don one: friend.
Pray for Matt and the kiddos as they enjoy some very rare time without mama (I am SO thankful for the village who always steps up to help...from neighbors having them to dinner, to a dear friend coming to babysit a few hours tomorrow so I can get on the road a few hours earlier than Matt's work schedule allows) and pray for safe travels.
A good friend posted on facebook a few weeks ago that THE way to get through this and any crisis is the same: keep your nose in the Bible and have a trusted and faithful friend.
So thankful to have a Bible to keep my nose in AND a few precious sisters in Christ!
I am so excited that you two get to meet up. Oh I have been praying for this for both of you!!!!
