It's a gorgeous day to be in Haiti, and always to be worshipping together. Not only are churches in Haiti still meeting together, with no cases of the virus on our side of the island as of yet, (there would be no such thing as live-streaming in our world!) but we even did the "hug" song today, embracing everyone to the left, then the right, affirming with our words to be one in Christ :) Oh my. Imagining something like "the virus" in Haiti with so little health care available and so many with weak and compromised immunities is more than unsettling, so we are going to keep on in faith and an abundance of prayer.
I can't tell you how good it is to be home. Everyone is working through this discouraging time in Haiti with courage, and I'm so thankful, always, for our good and godly and giving team here...if what Haiti needs are transformed individuals pouring out their lives for one another, we HAVE it.
I was blessed as we picked our way home from church through the muck to see Bolcy run ahead to grab Ms. Pam's arm.
Life without Micheline, for the first time in 13 years, is strange and sad...we all miss her very much and wonder how life is, starting all over in Mexico with no Spanish and no friends...thankful our Mighty God goes with her, and ahead and behind.
The kids have played with Sam and Joel and ran the campus and eaten their rice and beans to their hearts content.
Thankful for godly people around us, always showing me courage...not at peace because all (or anything) is well...but at peace because He's in their hearts.
