testimonies of grace and miracles

I have like 11 things to share because it has been a ridiculous busy weekend. But Friday... Friday was really special.  After a one-day-at-a-time struggle of a semester, we all gathered together one last time for the year for a special thanksgiving service.

After some worship, staff and students got up for a few minutes at a time to share testimonies of how God was faithful this semester...and that was such a powerful time. I wish I'd written them all down, but how good it was for my heart to hear of so many miracles God has done, that I knew nothing about.
Robbed at knifepoint. Blocked by fire. Miles on foot. Cars abandoned. Motorcycle accidents. Lives threatened. Families in crisis. Tanks empty, pockets emptier still.
Testimony after testimony this morning confirmed: through many dangers, toils and snares, the Lord carried, protected and strengthened Emmaus each day this semester.
If you weren’t here this morning to celebrate His hand on the men and women of Emmaus University this season, we missed you. THANK YOU for your faithful help and prayers...

Our staff also surrounded our students at the end and prayed and prayed over them...prayed for their time away, prayed for safety, prayed for courage, prayed for all the ministry they are setting out on, prayed over the Word in their hands...it was such a sacred time. I'll never forget Friday's service.
It’s grace that brought us safe thus far and grace will lead us home!
