Our staff is going through a challenging time. Junel is in the hospital with heart issues (since he was a child, but a major flare up) and everyone's going in about a dozen directions. Matt picked up our visitors from IWU at the airport today, and then we everyone for supper, and by the time the dishes were done we were all wiped! It is in the end of the year and it feels like it...we've all poured a lot of prayer, energy and love into this year, and I guess we're allowed to be tired.
Today some of our alumni gathered to share testimonies and strategies for working together better in the future....
And our Master's students gathered for their last day of capstone presentations!
Tomorrow evening is the big hooding ceremony / banquet for all 60 graduates and their families, and then Saturday is graduation!
And then there is this man:
We are thankful for your prayers. Ben is still incredibly miserable. Can't breathe, stomach issues, fevering. We're just going on days and days of bouncing and shushing and soothing and loving and we miss our boy. It seems impossible that he has such a serious virus after having just come through a major bout with such a different serious virus...but...we've been talking with our doctor and it just seems like that is the case!
So....we're just hanging and loving and getting up all hours to bounce him when he can't breath and just praying. Praying for Junel and for Paulcine, praying for our friends Doug and Julie as they bury their son tomorrow, praying for special and sacred ceremonies these next two days, praying for His touch! Thankful for His sweet presence.
Praying for all these issues. And your sweet boy.
