amen.

Sharon got me a magnet once that says, "and thank you for a house full of people I love, amen."  Every time I'm tempted to think the house is a little too full, I'm reminded.

And it was that kind of weekend!  It was a little crazy full, but it was crazy full of many we love, and I'm so deeply thankful for each moment.

Friday after school the girls had a slew of their friends over for "one last" playdate before we go. They had a hilarious time together, and Ben was totally engrossed, and extra excited when everyone fed him chocolate :)
SO thankful for the precious friendships the girls both have...for these we have prayed.

Saturday, we grabbed the Folkeringas and we met up with the Stolbergs for one more play-date before we go, on an uninhabited little island a few miles off our island.
Lots of exploring, lots of swimming, lots of thankful for more prayers answered in this precious family and the Folkeringas, and in this little getaway.

Some fishermen brought the boys some lobster :)

The kids were wiped by the dinner!

This morning we were out the door early for a long trip to Leesma's church, one of our master's graduates...He has a lovely church and school, with some really special brothers and sisters, and Matt had the chance to preach about what Jesus came for...about the bride of Christ.

It was a great service and we're so thankful to be doing ministry alongside men and women like Leesma!  It's EXCITING to see what God is doing, all over the place, how the world is full of His children.
Today is also Haitian Mother's Day, and we are ALL so so thankful for this woman, Granny, in our lives.  She's been a good mom to Matt and I both over and over and over, and she loves each of our children WELL.  She's loved them their whole lives, is endlessly patient with them, always teaching, always loving, and I can't tell you how many times Sofie's felt overwhelmed or frustrated and we've found her with Granny brushing her hair or helping her sort beans. When I've been sad we're so far from family, He's made our life full.
This afternoon Uncle Dave and Aunt Marilyn came to spend the evening with us before we go, and we had beef and pickled beets and Marilyn's tapioca pudding and talked and laughed at the kiddos and learned about corosol fruit and we have so much, always, to learn and grow from Dave and Marilyn...so thankful for them in all our lives.
They most reminded me tonight to have FAITH.
It's a busy week ahead with the girls' final week of school, a few more goodbyes and an awful lot to do.

thank you for a crazy life full of people I love, amen.
