sabbathy

We've been feeling convicted about our Sabbaths being more full than focused, so the last two weeks we've worked around airport runs on both of them and gone out of the way to make our Sabbath more Sabbathy nonetheless.
After an exciting adventure that did NOT lead us to Fev in the end this past Sunday, we ended up at Pastor Macdorville's church.  We had never worshipped there before, and it was lovely!  Matt didn't preach, the worship was awesome and the girls were following along in their Bibles and asking lots of questions after.  We will try Fev, the church that used to have a road and no longer does, next weekend again :)
Afterwards we picked up Bill and drove him to the airport and he's now safely back in Canada with Julie and the boys, and then went to a hotel right near the airport for lunch (no cooking for Mommy with so many visitors lately was DIVINE) and for the girls to swim.  Because we had no teams or professors, instead of trying to host and visit and watch the girls, we just played...which they adored and which we've missed.

The whole rest of the day, Nora kept saying, "I really like the beach.  I really like the beach.  That was so fun.  I like to be a fish."
The girls started testing last week and it's been intense...then this girl lost her other little front tooth and now is sporting cute fangs...it was beautiful to have NO school work and NO any work and to worship as a family having fun.
We need to be doing a better job of this, even if only on Sundays, even around the other responsibilities we have!  Now we're back at it with a busy week, testing everyday for the girls and preparing for an IWU course next week.

This afternoon, we're off to visit friends!
Speaking of friends, I'd be so blessed if you'd be praying for these dear friends this week.  Tristan (their oldest) has another brain surgery this Wednesday, hoping to address his increasing seizures...we're just so with them in our hearts and prayers and would love if you would be, too. Pray for Anthony and Randi as they trust and for Tristan as he endures and for Isaac and Charlie as they're home with grandma!  thank you!
