snow and savor

It snowed all day Saturday, answering Lily's insistent prayers to see snow for the first time in her life!  And OH did she soak it up.  At 15 degrees, it was WAY too cold to play in the snow, but there was no telling her.  Each time I made her come in, she'd bring in bowls full of snow and eat snow slushes 'till I let her go out again.
Watching her was a blast, listening to her has been a blast.  Watching Evie built puzzles and tell me about her life, watching Jayla expertly climb on anything and everything and communicate a million different things simply by changing the way she uses "yeah", counting all of Adaly's expressions, mostly adorably worry, concern, anxiety and uncertainty.
Loved spending sweet time with my brother-in-law and sister.  So thankful.

But my girlies, both of them, are still sick...and Matt's got a bad cold, too, and everybody was needing mama and I missed my everybody.   So today Lily and I safely returned home, grace of God, and just as it was so sweet to be with my dear nieces it's so sweet to be with my daughters.  (Yes, they are all girls...1/1 for my brother, 3/3 for Lisa and 3/3 for us :)

And it is warm.

10 degrees in the morning in flip-flops and a sweater and 70 degrees by dinner...how bout that.

The Lord met me on the plane today, but I'm too tired right now...

Thank you for praying for our trip and for rejoicing with me!
